A few years ago I uploaded this fairly innocuous (and not especially well taken, nor well cropped..) photograph to the popular free stock photograph website "Pixabay". It was taken stood outside our local polling station on an election day, here in the S2 post code district of Sheffield.
My freely-available image has been downloaded over 17,000 times - and viewed by over 24,000 Pixabay users. Wow! I don't actually use Pixabay all that much (in terms of contributing to the community with my own photographs) but continues to surprise me just how much of a hit this particular image has been with people not just here in the UK - but across the world!
