I Said Hey…
...What's Going On?
It probably seems like things have been pretty quiet around here @mounsey HQ here in Sheffield. You know, what with this is the first post on here for years (ouch!). On top of that, my own Website has been "temporarily" mothballed until I find the non-trivial amount of time to revamp it (the current/previous one is, after all, approaching 10 years of age - and that's practically pension-claiming status for a Website). Plenty on here though, worry not.
Things to Make and Do.
In reality, I'm delighted to advise that having passed my 10th Anniversary for Mounsey Web Consultancy in the Spring of 2023, I find myself particularly busy this summer, following a briefly concerningly quiet start to 2024.
The workload is consistent and all-too-familiar (in a good way). I wrapped up a near comprehensive Website rebuild for Ideas Foundation in the Spring and more recently I've been tasked with a series of content updates for another longstanding client, the Automotive 30% Club (they held their annual conference "Focus on 30 by 30" back in May and will shortly also be publishing details of this year's Inspiring Automotive Women Awards ("Who Inspires You?") - which now takes place exclusively on LinkedIn, with the eventual winners also publicised on their Website.
Finally for now (and to explain the leading image on this post!) I have also been carrying out a block of work for another charity sector client: "Who is Your Neighbour?" (stylised as WiYN? for short). WiYN? are in the process of rolling our four specially conceived resources to tie-in with the anniversary of the notorious miners' strikes here in the South Yorkshire region and beyond, many years ago. The deep impact those strikes had on so many local communities at the time is still being felt by many today, so I do recommend having a read of all four articles once they have been published. At the time of typing this update you can already check out the first one, titled "Proud of this Place".
Thanks for reading and apologies for the long gap between posts. With my website taking an extended trip to "Holding Page Land" for the foreseeable, I fully intend to keep clients and contacts updated right here more frequently in the interim period before a shiny new Website sees light of day.
Cheers, ~John_
PS. Oh.. in an attempt to escape a far too sedentary lifestyle I've recently taken up running/jogging (as of June, 2024). A big thanks there to my local bar/pub The Pearl at Park Hill for launching a friendly running club.
