Learn WordPress at a pace that suits you best.
As an experienced website designer & developer (from circa. 1999 onwards) I've been working primarily with WordPress over the past 15 of so of those years. It is a great and highly flexible content management system. I can however be overwhelming to pick up and learn on your own. This is where I can potentially help you.
How/where do I edit *that*..?
A scenario I've encountered often is where a client already has a WordPress website and also a posssess keenness to update their content.. only to be held back by a lack of knowledge, when it comes to how to go about making such changes. It can be a frustrating experience (and one I know first-hand, from when first switched to the platform myself, many moons ago). The good news though it is one that I can help you with, by way of my friendly and highly tailored WordPress training service.
Topics I can help you learn
As you may well have already noticed, WordPress can be a complex beast to work with. With that in mind I long since took the key decision not to spread myself too thinly, when it comes to my areas of focus and expertise on the system.
Here are the key aspects of WordPress website management that I can help you with (and, where applicable, help establish on your existing website):
- Core WordPress actions (finding your way around the "Dashboard"; Posts, Pages, Categories, Tags - the basics and beyond)
- The "SiteOrigin" Page Builder (one of many such 3rd party tools available, but the one that I find a) the easiest to work with and b) for others to pick up and learn)
- Kadence Theme (over the years I've tried out many themes for WordPress. "Kadence" is without doubt the best one I have ever worked with)
- CSS (a highly useful skill to use when needing to customise your site content beyond the confines of the control panel and settings screen(s)
- RankMath (one of the leading Search Engine Optimisation "SEO" tools)
- WooCommerce (the official online shop add-on for WordPress, including its own multitude of available extensions)
- MailerLite (a competitor of and alternative to MailChimp - for building an email list and sending out newsletters)
.. and much more.
Would You Like to Know More..?
In terms of sessions, I pursposefully don’t have a “set menu” offering, when it comes to WordPress training. This is simply because I find that everyone’s requirements are notably different and indeed quite dramatically varied.
For an obligation-free chat about how I might be able to assist you (including potentially helping you build an new WordPress powered Website from scratch..) please do drop me a line.
John.
